A 25 piece chamber orchestra comprised of current and former players from the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, NY City Ballet Orchestra, New Jersey, and Vermont Symphony Orchestras will perform a program of rhapsodic and magical works including Wagner's Seigfried Idyll, Mendelssohn's Scherzo from A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Samuel Barber's Adagio for strings. The major work is Mozart's glorious Sinfonia Concertante in E flat for oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, and strings. Soloists are Daniel Gilbert, former Cleveland Orchestra associate clarinet, Randall Wolfgang, New York City Ballet Orchestra principal oboe, Robert Wagner, New Jersey Symphony principal oboe, Donna Dolson, Osaka (Japan) Symphony principal French horn, Vermont flutist Karen Kevra, and Anna Reinersman, who plays regularly with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. The orchestra will be conducted by Lou Kosma.
