We bring you a pair of Ludwigs! VSO New Music Advisor David Ludwig has written a violin concerto for his fiancée, the incomparable Bella Hristova. Winner of an Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2013, Hristova gives the world premiere of this work at our concert, limbering up (very appropriately) with Dvorak’s Romance for Violin and Orchestra. The concert ends happily ever after…with a piece by the other Ludwig, which needs no introduction.
